Berus joins BRAVE CF’s super welterweight division, and will compete at 175 pounds in a bid to force his way into championship contention in BRAVE CF’s signature weight class.
Berus is the latest in a long line of former IMMAF World Championship competitors who have made the progression to BRAVE CF, as he joins fellow IMMAF alums, including Muhammad Mokaev and Sabrina de Sousa on the BRAVE roster.
The signing of Berus strengthens BRAVE’s association with Slovenia, with the promotion holding multiple events in the country in association with local promotion WFC.
Berus joins a growing cohort of Slovenian stars on the BRAVE CF roster, including Monika Kucinic, Luka Podkrajsek, Miha Frlic and Domen Drnovsek.
The 22-year-old prospect has an unblemished 6-0 record, with all six wins coming by finish, and only one opponent making it into the second round. He captured welterweight championship gold for regional promotion WFN in his last outing and will be looking to make a beeline towards BRAVE’s 175-pound title, currently held by Brazil’s Luiz Cado.
He’ll face plenty of competition to get there, however, with the likes of former champions Marcin Bandel and Kamal Magomedov, plus Eliezer Kubanza, Alex Lohore and Zagid Gaidarov, all vying for a shot at the title in 2025.
