Headlining the event was Brazilian welterweight Gabriel Bonfim, as the 14th-ranked welterweight contender put his ranked status on the line against Randy Brown in a 170-pound matchup.
After a closely contested first round, Bonfim made the breakthrough in Round 2 as he connected with a perfectly-timed knee that sent Brown crashing to the canvas. It looked like Brown may have been out on the way down, but he appeared conscious after hitting the mat, and immediately protested the stoppage after referee Mark Smith stepped in to wave off the contest.
It was a tricky one to judge for the official, but given the way Brown went down, his immediate intervention was understandable, despite Brown’s subsequent protests.
In the co-main event, flyweight Joseph Morales produced another impressive display in only his second UFC contest to claim a submission finish of former ranked contender Matt Schnell in their flyweight matchup.
Morales was taken down early, but transitioned superbly on the mat to eventually submit Schnell via first-round rear-naked choke.
Welterweight strikers Uros Medic and Muslim Salikhov went toe-to-toe in a mouth-watering battle at 170 pounds, with Medic striking early, and decisively, to finish “The King of Kung Fu” in just 63 seconds.
And lightweight Chris Padilla took a percentage of Ismael Bonfim’s fight purse, then took the victory as he stopped the Brazilian, who had failed to make weight on Friday, late in the second round.
The main car kicked off in spectacular fashion as England’s former Cage Warriors middleweight champion Christian Leroy Duncan demolished the in-form Marco Tulio in stunning fashion.
“CLD” unleashed a spinning backfist that started the finishing sequence, then completed the job with a huge right hand to claim a statement victory, snap Tulio’s seven-year win streak and put himself in line for bigger fights in 2026.
