Reigning heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall tipped the scale at 255 pounds for his first title defence as undisputed champ, while France’s former interim champion Gane arrived on the scale at 247.5 pounds.
The co-main event will feature a battle for the vacant women’s strawweight title, and both title contenders tipped the scale at the same weight, as Virna Jandiroba and Mackenzie Dern came in right on the 115-pound strawweight limit.
The rest of the main card weighed in with no problems, but the preliminary card saw two weight misses, and one bout removal, as the fight card was reduced by one following the weigh-ins.
Featherweight Jose Miguel Delgado failed to hit the 146-pound featherweight limit for his bout with Nathaniel Wood, coming in at 147 pounds at the weigh-ins. It meant that Delgado will forfeit 20 percent to Wood, with the bout continuing, as scheduled.
It was a similar story with flyweight Azat Maksum, who tipped the scale at 129 pounds, three pounds over the limit, for his bout with Mitch Raposo. After negotiations between the UFC and the fighters’ teams, Maksum will forfeit 30 percent of his purse to Raposo, and the bout will proceed, as planned.
Unfortunately, the lightweight bout between Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady and Matheus Camilo was forced off the card due to personal reasons for Al-Selwady. It means the fight card will now feature 13 bouts, with the preliminary action getting underway at 3:00pm UK time on UFC Fight Pass, with the main card streaming live on TNT Sports Box Office pay-per-view at 7:00pm.
