The UFC’s Octagon heads to Doha, Qatar for a UFC Fight Night event with serious ramifications for the lightweight and welterweight divisions.

In the main event, highly-ranked 155-pound contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Dan Hooker go head to head in a bid to press their respective championship claims, while in the co-main event, former undisputed welterweight champion Belal Muhammad takes on rising Irish contender Ian Machado Garry in a huge fight for the 170-pound division.

For Muhammad, it’s a must-win bout as he looks to bounce back after losing his title to Jack Della Maddalena. For Garry, meanwhile, it’s an opportunity to add the name of a former champion to his resumé as he looks to build an undeniable case for a shot at the new undisputed welterweight champion, Islam Makhachev.

There’s also plenty of MMA action from Europe this weekend, with Cage Warriors hosting a double-header at Manchester’s BEC Arena, while Czech-Slovak promotion OKTAGON head to Germany for a huge arena show at the SAP Garden in Munich, as they look to crown a new champion at 155 pounds.

On this episode of the RDX Sports Podcast, editor-in-chief Simon Head runs down all four fight cards as he highlights the storylines to follow and the fights to focus on ahead of a busy weekend of mixed martial arts action.
