Podcast: UFC 323 Review – Petr Yan, Joshua Van capture UFC gold in final ESPN PPV

UFC 323 brought the curtain down on the UFC’s ESPN pay-per-view era, and the last big numbered show before Paramount/CBS takes over in 2026 delivered a hugely entertaining night of fights at T-Mobile Arena.

Petr Yan produced a stunning performance to dethrone bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili in the main event, while in the co-main, a freak arm injury to flyweight champ Alexandre Pantoja saw the belt passed to Joshua Van after just 26 seconds of fight action.

The night also saw big wins for Tatsuro Taira and Payton Talbott, while Jan Blachowicz’s frustrating run of bad luck continued as his bout with Bogdan Guskov was scored a majority draw.

The preliminary card served up some of the best fight action of the year, as ESPN’s final big-arena UFC show of their deal delivered a great send-off for the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
