Umalatov was due to take on former interim Bellator welterweight champion Logan Storley on Thursday night at Universal Studios in Florida, but the Russian contender, who finished as the runner-up in the PFL’s 2024 welterweight season, failed to make weight for the bout.
It meant that Umalatov was pulled from the card, with his place now taken by Australian alternate fighter Joseph Luciano, who steps in to face Storley in the biggest opportunity of his career.
The rest of the day’s weigh-in session went without a hitch, with welterweight main eventers and former Bellator welterweight champions Jason Jackson and Andrey Koreshkov both making weight for their headlining matchup.

Featherweight contenders Jesus Pinedo and Adam Borics both had no problem making weight for their co-main event matchup and, with Luciano and Storley both looking good on the scale for their newly-booked welterweight matchup, and featherweights Jeremy Kennedy and Movlid Khaybulaev also on weight, the main card for Thursday night is locked, loaded and ready to go.
There were no issues on the preliminary card, with all eight fighters, including Ireland’s Nathan Kelly, all hitting their contracted weights to make their participation in Thursday night’s event official.
