PFL Europe Nantes: 'The Lazy King' returns as Abdoul Abdouraguimov faces Kevin Jousset

One of PFL Europe’s top stars returns to action in Nantes, France as “The Lazy King” Abdoul Abdouraguimov gets set for his next assignment.

Abdouraguimov will take on former UFC athlete Kevin Jousset in an all-French welterweight matchup in the main event of PFL Europe Nantes, which takes place on Friday September 26 at Zenith Nantes Metropole.

Abdouraguimov is 19-1 (1 no contest), and riding a nine-fight win streak heading into the matchup. His last three outings all came under the PFL Europe banner, as he defeated UK MMA veterans Brad Wheeler and Jack Grant before outworking former UFC athlete Laureano Staropoli.

Now he’s set to face another ex-UFC athlete, who arrives in PFL Europe looking to kickstart a fresh chapter in his MMA career.

Jousset went 2-2 in the UFC, defeating Ireland’s Kiefer Crosbie and China’s Kenan Song, but back-to-back losses to Bryan Battle and Jonathan Micallef resulted in Jousset leaving the UFC.

It didn’t take long for him to sign for PFL Europe, and he’s set to make his promotional debut against Abdouraguimov on September 26.

“PFL is coming home! After 21 professional fights, I can finally fight in front of my home crowd, where I grew up and learned this sport,” said Abdouraguimov.

“And now, it’s at the Zénith Nantes Métropole that I’m going to do the next ‘Lazy Show’. Grab a seat, some popcorn, and be good, but not too much, because I’m here to entertain you on September 26th, let’s go!”

Jousset’s pre-fight comment was much shorter, and to the point.

“Nantes. His backyard. My moment,” he stated.

“On September 26th, I silence the crowd and win big in my PFL debut.”

The fight card will also feature the semi-finals of PFL Europe’s 2025 bantamweight and lightweight tournaments, with England’s Dean Garnett and Connor Hughes set for action in their respective tournament semis.
