The main event saw France’s Amin Ayoub claim a third-round TKO finish of Keweny Lopes. Ayoub’s victory extended his unbeaten run to 10 fights, and the confident Frenchman said he’d be ready to step straight back into the cage in Dubai next week, if required.
“I will continue to KO any opponent I face in the PFL cage,” he said after his victory.
“I’m just waiting for the call for PFL, I’m ready for Dubai next week, baby!”
The co-main event saw Belgian light heavyweight Boris Mbarga Atangana blast his way to victory over Brazil’s Jhony Gregory, with the 7-0 fighter from Brussels rapidly making a name for himself with his second first-round knockout finish in two PFL Europe appearances.
In the PFL Europe bantamweight tournament, Baris Adiguzel booked his place in the 135-pound final with an emphatic 36-second knockout of Julien Lopez, while in the other semi-final, England’s Dean Garnett handed KSW veteran Jan Clepowski the first defeat of his career, courtesy of a third-round rear-naked choke.
In the lightweight tournament, England’s Connor Hughes finished Spain’s Gino van Steenis with a head-kick mid-way through the first round. He’ll take on Austrian contender Alex Chizov, who edged past Italy’s Claudio Pacella via split decision after three hard-fought rounds.
