The 30-year-old Thai veteran returns following a split-decision loss to Pompet PK Saenchai at ONE Friday Fights 126 in September, a result that ended his most recent winning streak in ONE Championship’s weekly series.
With eight victories on the platform, including wins against Denis Puric, Yodlekpet has established himself as a consistent performer capable of competing at the level required for a $100,000 main-roster contract.
The narrow loss to Pompet represented a competitive fight that could have gone either way on the judges’ scorecards. Yodlekpet’s analysis of the rematch focuses on the final exchanges rather than any technical deficiencies in his preparation or execution.
“My preparation for both fights against Pompet wasn’t significantly different,” Yodlekpet said.
“I focused on trying to land my weapons more accurately. The moment that caused the loss was likely in the final seconds of the last round, where he performed better. After facing him twice, I believe his weakness is that he shows signs of tiring in the later rounds.”
Rather than dwelling on the defeat, Yodlekpet used the September result as motivation to refine his approach. The veteran striker views the loss as part of the competitive process rather than a setback that requires major strategic overhaul.
“I didn’t regret the last loss too much because I felt I gave my all, and it was an entertaining fight,” Yodlekpet said.
“I’m happy the audience enjoyed it. Now, I have to rebuild my form and try to get as close as possible to earning a ONE contract. I specifically want to improve my speed. I believe I can do much better.”
Yodlekpet joined Silk Muay Thai in May, marking a significant change in his training environment. The gym switch has produced noticeable technical developments in his defensive capabilities, adding layers to a striking game previously built on offensive pressure and durability.
“I moved to Silk Muay Thai in May. Since I’ve been here, I’ve seen a lot of changes,” Yodlekpet said.
“I’m starting to use head movement and footwork to evade punches more effectively.”
Mammadov presents a different challenge than Pompet. The Team Mehdi Zatout representative earned a TKO victory over Komawut FA Group in his ONE Championship debut earlier this year, showcasing the power and technical skill that make him a dangerous opponent for any flyweight. Yodlekpet’s preparation has included studying Mammadov’s limited ONE Championship footage while accounting for the Azerbaijani’s physical advantages.
“I only saw Anar fight for two rounds in his debut,” Yodlekpet said.
“He’s a very well-rounded fighter with almost no visible weaknesses, and he has incredibly dangerous punches. Plus, he has a big, tall physique.”
The matchup pits Yodlekpet’s experience and improved defensive skills against Mammadov’s size and power. Yodlekpet expects a competitive fight that will likely go the distance, with conditioning and toughness determining the outcome.
“I believe that even if there isn’t a knockout, fans will see an exciting and fierce battle throughout all three rounds,” Yodlekpet said.
“The fighter with the greater endurance and toughness will win.”
A victory would end Yodlekpet’s pattern of alternating results and provide momentum heading into 2026. The timing carries personal significance as well, with the bout scheduled close to his birthday.
“I am very confident that ‘The Destroyer’ will make a comeback,” Yodlekpet said.
“I still have the fire for competition and the same hunger for victory. I want to defeat Anar as an early birthday gift to myself and to finish this year strongly.”
