A press release from Queensberry Promotions announced that Usyk will rematch Dubois, with the undisputed heavyweight title on the line, as the Ukrainian champion puts up his WBC, WBO and WBA belts, while Dubois puts up his IBF title.
It’s a rematch of their first bout, which took place in Wroclaw, Poland in August 2023. That matchup ended in controversy after Usyk was dropped in the fifth round by a big body shot to the beltline by Dubois. The referee deemed the shot to be low, and gave a clearly hurt Usyk time to recover before the action resumed. Usyk went on to stop Dubois in the ninth round.
Dubois protested the referee’s decision on the night, and has wanted a rematch with Usyk ever since. And now, with the pair now holding all of the major heavyweight championship belts, the rematch is finally on, with undisputed glory up for grabs at the iconic Wembley Stadium.

“I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to once again fight for the undisputed championship,” said Usyk.
“Thank you, Daniel, for taking care of my IBF belt – now I want it back.”
Dubois, meanwhile, is excited to finally get the rematch he’s been chasing for nearly two years.
“This is the fight I wanted and demanded, and now I get my chance for revenge against Oleksandr Usyk,” said Dubois.
“I should have won the first fight and was denied by the judgement of the referee, so I will make no mistake this time around in front of my people at the national stadium in my home city.

“I am a superior and more dangerous fighter now, and Usyk will find this out for himself on July 19.
“I would like to thank my promoter Frank for making this happen for me and I intend to repay him by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.”
The event will be promoted by Queensberry Promotions, with Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren revealing his personal excitement at being able to bring a undisputed heavyweight title fight to the UK.
“I am thrilled to deliver this historic undisputed occasion for Daniel at Wembley Stadium,” he said.

“It will be an honour to promote a sporting event of this magnitude and a privilege to bring over a champion of the stature of Oleksandr. I would like to thank Oleksandr and his team at Ready to Fight for their great cooperation in making this fight become a reality.
“I am certain that we will see the best of British both in and outside of the ring, from Daniel and the unrivalled fight fans who will pack out the biggest sporting venue in the country.”
A press conference will see the pair go face to face on April 29, with tickets going on same from midday the following day on ticketmaster.com.
