With the promotion fully established as the leading MMA promotion in OKTAGON have enjoyed huge success in Germany, most notably at OKTAGON 62, which saw 59,000 fans pack Eintracht Frankfurt’s Deutsche Bank Park for a huge stadium show.
Now the promotion is looking to continue the momentum gained in Germany in 2024 by dedicating half of its 13-date event schedule for 2025 to German-based events.
Starting with OKTAGON 66 in Dusseldorf on February 2, OKTAGON will host events in seven German cities in 2025, with Stuttgart, in March, Dortmund in April, Hamburg in June, Frankfurt in September, Cologne in October and Munich in November filling out half of OKTAGON’s confirmed event calendar for the year.
“The German fans are incredibly passionate, and we have been able to build up fighters like Christian Jungwirth and Christian Eckerlin into genuine superstars,” said OKTAGON MMA co-owner Pavol Neruda.
“To have sold out the arenas and stadiums in the way we have been able to, shows what kind of fans Germany has, and how willing they are to get behind their fighters, and the sport of MMA.
“We are so excited to bring OKTAGON MMA to new cities in 2025, with our first-ever shows set for Dortmund and Hamburg, as well as going back to places we have previously been to.
“Thanks to our deal with RTL, our footprint in Germany will continue to grow in 2025, and it has certainly become one of our most important markets.”
