The Czech-Slovak promotion has officially announced the beta launch of OKTAGON FANTASY, with the organisation offering a new way for fans to get involved in their fandom of OKTAGON events.
Per a press release from the promotion, OKTAGON FANTASY “allows fans to select a trio of athletes before each event and predict the method of victory in one specific fight.
“Correct picks earn points, enabling participants to climb performance levels – from Novice all the way up to Champion. The league will be evaluated annually at the end of each year.
“The Fantasy League will be available in three language versions – Czech, English, and German.”
As part of the competition, a number of different prizes and rewards will be up for grabs for successful players, including signed fighter gear, VIP tickets, exclusive OKTAGON digital rewards, and experiences with fighters.

Fellow co-owner Ondrej Novotny added, “Fans have been asking for a fantasy league for years, and we knew that when we delivered it, it had to be big.
“We wanted something that excites both hardcore MMA fans and new followers. This is another example of how we don’t just want to keep up with the pace – we want to set it.”
To accompany the fantasy league, OKTAGON will be launching and managing an official Discord community.
The beta launch of OKTAGON FANTASY will go live on Wednesday, October 1 at 12 noon BST. Player registrations are now open at oktagonmma.com/en/fantasy/
OKTAGON FANTASY: How it works
Players “draft” fighters during fight week of an OKTAGON event, with those drafted fighters earning points based on their real-life performances on that week’s OKTAGON fight card. Points unlock rewards and rank progression.
Points System
- Fighter wins by KO – 5 points
- Fighter wins by submission or TKO – 4 points
- Fighter wins by decision – 3 points
- Draw or No Contest – 2 points
- Defeat – 1 point
Selection
- Each player will select 3 fighters for every OKTAGON tournament (Contender + 4 fighters)
- If a fighter drops out before the draft is closed, an email will be sent reminding you to update your selection
- If a fighter drops out after the draft closure, your selection is annulled, and +1 point is awarded
- Players can optionally predict the method of victory for 1 of their drafted fighters (KO/TKO, Submission or Decision)
- If the prediction is correct = +2 bonus points awarded
- If the prediction is incorrect = -1 point deducted
Draft Times
- Draft opens every Wednesday at 1pm during fight week (event local time)
- Draft closes every Friday at 1pm during fight week (event local time)
