Weichel will take on France’s Abou Touncara, and the pair successfully made weight at the official weigh-ins at the host hotel on Friday, with Weichel tipping the scale at 70.2kg, compared to Touncara’s 70.6.
Also on the card is German grappler-turned-MMA phenomenon Frederic Vosgrone, who will look to position himself for a shot at the OKTAGON light heavyweight title when he takes on Brazil’s Fabio Moraes. Vosgrone weighed in at 93.5kg, 0.8kg heavier than Moraes, who came in at 92.7.
Also set for action is a pair of lightweight bouts that feature ranked contenders. Turkey’s Attila Korkmaz (70.7) takes on France’s David Crol (70.1), while Irish contender Denis Frimpong lines up against the Czech Republic’s Peter Gabal (both 70.8).
The main card opens up with German women’s bantamweight star Alina Dalaslan taking on France’s Clara Ricignuolo. Just 100 grams separated their official weights, with Ricignuolo coming in at 60kg, and Dalaslan tipping the scale at 59.9.
