Headlining the event is a women’s bantamweight title fight between defending champion Cecilie Bolander and Lucia Szabova, and both women arrived on the scale on weight and ready for their championship clash, with Bolander tipping the scale at 61.1kg, while Szabova weighed in slightly lighter, at 60.8.
The four Tipsport Gamechanger quarter-final matchups were all made official at the weigh-ins, but not without some notable issues on the scale.
There were no issues in the Kerim Engizek-Mick Stanton and Piotr Wawrzyniak-Hojat Khajevand matchups, with all four men making weight without fuss. But the same couldn’t be said for the other two quarter-final bouts.
Dominik Humberger came in at 84.8kg, 0.4kg over the middleweight limit, for his bout with Mark Hulme, while in the other quarter-final, both men missed weight as Krzysztof Jotko and Marek Mazuch both came in at 84.45kg, just over the limit.
OKTAGON officials have confirmed directly to RDX Sports that three fighters have been fined, but their fights will continue, as planned.
