Team Leaders and Coaches: The Backbone of the Event
Understandably so, the IMMAF team leaders and coaches requirements are pretty strict. Afterall, they need to make sure the athletes are safe throughout the fights, are actually ready for the game, and maintain the correct conduct.
The coaches are mandated to have a valid IMMAF coach certification. Alternatively, they can complete a short course in corner person training. They also need to submit criminal record background checks.
The coaches typically manage the warm-ups, weight cuts for the athletes, and performance reviews. The teams with the best coordination and leadership are also set up for massive success and have a huge advantage during the matches.
Honestly, quite the relief that there are so many checks in place.
