Kubanza will take on Zagid Gaidarov as he bids to push his claims for a shot at the promotion’s super-welterweight title, and promises to approach the fight in the high-octane, high-aggression style his fans have become accustomed to.
But to be successful, he’ll have to halt his opponent’s momentum, with Gaidarov heading into the bout on a six-fight win streak, including back-to-back wins inside the BRAVE CF cage. It’s a task Kubanza is confident he’ll achieve with style points.
“I will finish him like I did with any other,” he declared on social media.
“He is not special. Mark my words!”
The bout holds added interest for those who have followed Kubanza’s rise in BRAVE CF, with many believing that 6-1 contender Gaidarov – a teammate of the great former amateur star Ramazan Gitinov – representing the biggest test of “King Kong’s” career.
But Kubanza has faced Team KHK opposition before, and famously holds a knockout win over Gitinov from their days in the amateur ranks. Now established as one of the most dangerous men in BRAVE CF’s super-welterweight division, Kubanza plans on repeating the feat against Gitinov’s teammate at BRAVE CF 91.
