Ditcheva vs Kielholz: Strikers collide in Dubai
Ditcheva, who captured the 2024 PFL women’s flyweight world tournament with a quartet of TKO finishes, returns to action at the Coca-Cola Arena when she takes on former Bellator kickboxing world champion Denise Kielholtz in a featured women’s flyweight bout.
It’s a matchup that will pit two world-class strikers head to head inside the PFL SmartCage, as the Netherlands’ Kielholtz makes her return to competitive action after more than two years away.
Prior to her time away, “Miss Dynamite” captured back-to-back victories under the Bellator banner as she defeated Paula Cristina in Paris, then outpointed Sumiko Inaba in Chicago.
Ditcheva’s most recent outing also saw her face Inaba, as she also ran out a unanimous decision winner over the former Bellator veteran, despite sustaining a broken hand during the contest. The Mancunian striker remains undefeated at 15-0, compared with Kielholtz’s 8-5 record.
Welterweight title fight added to Dubai card
Also confirmed for the February 7 show is a battle for the PFL welterweight world title, as Ramazan Kuramagomedov takes on Shamil Musaev in a battle of undefeated 170-pound contenders.
Last time out, Kuramagomedov dethroned Jason Jackson to become the last-ever Bellator welterweight champion, while Musaev captured the 2024 PFL welterweight world tournament championship.
Now the two champions will do battle for the inaugural PFL welterweight world championship as the promotion looks to establish traditional world championships in each weight class moving forward.
Already announced for the main event is a PFL lightweight world title fight between Usman Nurmagomedov and 2024 PFL lightweight world tournament champion Alfie Davis.
