Cyborg, who fought for Coker under the Strikeforce and Bellator MMA banners earlier in her career, is contracted to the PFL for MMA fights, but is free to box and has built a 4-0 record in professional boxing as she looks to work her way towards a championship fight against interim WBC super welterweight champion and women’s boxing legend Cecilia Braekhus.
Cyborg’s next outing will take place in San Jose, California this weekend when she takes on top 20 contender Precious Harris McCray in a six-round bout.

For the bout, which will take place 20 years after her professional MMA debut, Cyborg is teaming up with promoter Coker and former Strikeforce and WEC lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, who are promoting the event at the Tech CU Arena on Saturday, May 17.
Cyborg has prepared for the fight under the tutelage of head coach Jose Benavidez Sr at the Benavidez training camp. Coach Benavidez is the father of world champion sons David Benavidez and Jose Benavidez Jr.
“I know Precious Harris McCray is a tough and hungry fighter,” said Cyborg.
“I treated her with all respect by training hard and doing a real fight camp with a real boxing team because I know MMA is not boxing.
“I am looking forward to showing the world that I can be a world champion in professional boxing.”
