McGregor was in attendance at the 3Arena in Dublin for the Bellator Champions Series event in Ireland, and he visited with Dan Hardy to discuss his current situation as he told the fans that he will be back, with perfection on his mind.
“You know, I’m still here. I’m rocking away,” he said.
“I had a little lapse of concentration (and) I had to reschedule the bout, so I’m a little upset about that. But it’s keeping me dialled in, it’s keeping me focused.
“I can’t rock around like I’m just showing up… The job is not done. So that’s not bad for me, for someone like me, so I’m onwards towards the new date. And I’ll take my lessons learned. It was a lapse in concentration.”
"I'm walking in there 100% Conor McGregor" 🇮🇪

The fight postponement was the first time McGregor has had to withdraw from a booked fight in the UFC, and he has fought with injuries in the past. But after recovering from a badly broken leg at UFC 264 only to then break a toe during sparring ahead of UFC 303, McGregor has promised himself that he won’t fight in a compromised state any more, and promised the fans that he will be chasing a perfect performance when he does eventually return to the Octagon.
“If it was any one of these other little bums that can’t move and have no footwork, that don’t want to rely on their skills, then I would be OK,” he said.
“And I’ve done it before. I’ve made the walk a multitude of times under those circumstances, and given these bums an advantage over me that they don’t even deserve.
“So now I’m dialling it in. I’m getting this training camp correct. I’m walking in there 100 percent Conor McGregor. Injury free. Perfection is on the menu with me, and that’s it.”
