The main event will feature rising Scottish star Sean Clancy Jr, who will make the walk for his first-ever Cage Warriors headliner, and the 6-0 contender made weight with ease, coming in at 170.6 pounds for his welterweight bout with Brazil’s Italo Gomes.
While Clancy had no issues making weight, Gomes struggled to get down to his contracted weight and, after initially coming in more than a pound over the 171-pound limit, the Brazilian managed to return to the scale to make weight at 170.9 pounds with just seven minutes remaining in the weigh-in window.
Gomes wasn’t the only fighter to struggle on his first attempt on the scale, with featherweight Bailey Gilbert and flyweight Raz Bring both needing a second attempt before eventually making weight for their respective matchups.
Weigh-in day unfortunately did end up with a bout being scrapped from the card, with the short-notice matchup between Tiarnan Loughran and Damon Donald being removed from the fight card after Loughran failed to clear his pre-fight medicals.
