BRAVE CF’s return to Slovenia on June 7 has been bolstered with the addition of a bantamweight title fight.
Newly-crowned 135-pound champion Nicholas Hwende will put his title on the line for the first time in Ljubljana, where he’ll face the challenge of Serbian contender Borislav Nikolic in the co-main event of the evening.
Hwende outworked Nkosi Ndebele to capture the bantamweight crown after a thrilling encounter at BRAVE CF 91, and the Zimbabwean star will now look to establish himself as the division’s top dog when he faces the first test of his championship reign.
Hwende first joined BRAVE CF in 2023, but immediately lost his undefeated record to Velimurad Alkhasov on his promotional debut at BRAVE CF 71. Undeterred, Hwende bounced back in style to claim a hat-trick of victories, finishing off with his title fight victory over Ndebele as he rose to the top of the division.

Title challenger Nikolic arrives on a three-fight win streak, with a first-round victory over Chinese contender Eqiyuebu at BRAVE CF 84 proving to the BRAVE CF matchmakers that he’s ready for his shot at the belt.
Nikolic will challenge Hwende in the co-headliner as part of the promotion’s “Year of the BRAVE”. The event will again see BRAVE CF partner with local promotion WFC as they look to repeat the success of their two events in the nation last year.
Hwende vs Nikolic is the second title fight confirmed for the June 7 event, with the bout joining the middleweight title clash between light heavyweight champion Erko Jun and former two-division champ Mohammad Fakhreddine.
