Dailidko faced American Odie Delaney in a five-round title fight, and the former wrestler dominated the opening round after taking Dailidko to the canvas and holding top position for almost the entirety of the round thereafter.
Dailidko did well to avoid too much damage on the mat as Delaney struggled to put the champion in major trouble. But, when the fight restarted for Round 2, Dailidko had the perfect answer.
A nasty inside leg kick gave Dedlaney a moment’s pause and, after setting his sights, Dailidko clipped and dropped the challenger, then knocked him out with vicious ground strikes to claim an emphatic stoppage victory and retain his title.
In the co-main event, French MMA veteran Damien Lapilus edged the dangerous Victor Henry on the scorecards, while earlier in the night, super welterweight contender Alex “Da Killa King” Lohore left no doubt about his championship credentials as he grappled with noted submission specialist Mansur Abdurzakov before finishing him with strikes in the third round.
Lohore’s win may have propelled him to the front of the queue to challenge super welterweight champion Luiz Cado, and the London-based Frenchman issued a direct challenge to the Brazilian in his post-fight interview.
The main card also saw inside-the-distance victories for striking ace Youssef Boughanem, who rendered Dimitris Moirotsos unable to continue by the end of Round 2.
