Hamza Kooheji has been a stalwart of BRAVE CF, having appeared in the first two BRAVE CF events, BRAVE CF 1 and 2, and has fought for the promotion 11 times, winning nine fights during that run.
One of the two defeats he sustained under the BRAVE CF banner came in a championship challenge as he lost out to Brad Katona for the vacant bantamweight title back in 2022. But now, three and a half years on, Kooheji has a second bite of the cherry as he goes for gold again, on home soil, in the main event of BRAVE 100, where he’ll challenge the incumbent bantamweight champion Borislav Nikolic.
“I’ve been here since day one of BRAVE CF, and to now headline BRAVE 100 with a shot at the world title is truly a dream come true,” said Kooheji.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment, and to do it in Bahrain, in front of my people, makes it even more special. This is my time.”

Nikolic captured the 135-pound title at BRAVE CF96 when he stunned Nicholas Hwende with a first-round Ninja choke in front of his home fans in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
That victory extended his win streak to four, with his quartet of wins coming against opposition with a combined record of 42-6. All four of those wins came inside the distance, with two KO/TKOs and two submissions.
“This is a very special moment for me. To defend my world title at such a historic milestone for BRAVE CF is an honor,” said Nikolic.
“I know I’m going into enemy territory to face a national hero, but that only motivates me more. I’m ready to put on a fight worthy of BRAVE 100.”
Nikolic vs Kooheji completes a hat-trick of championship fights that will feature at the top of the BRAVE 100 fight card at Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town, Bahrain on Friday, November 7.
