    Probiotics are your gut’s best friend. They help restore balance and improve digestion. Get yourself to like yogurt. It is full of probiotics and gives your gut a good kick. You can choose a dairy or plant based option, that’s up to you. Just make sure you have it in the morning or somewhere in the day.

    Other fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and miso also come with the benefits of probiotics. Add a spoonful of sauerkraut to your sandwich and enjoy the goodness of fermentation. The taste is also great.

Your digestion takes the hit, and so does your hormonal balance. Your body will be harmed on so many different levels that you’ll find it hard to identify. Want to stay clear? 

    Give up on processed foods and, especially processed sugars.

    2- Artificial Sweeteners

    Don’t feel happy when you see “zero-cal” on something. Feel even more alarmed. Why? To get rid of processed sugars, food companies start giving you even more harmful chemicals that make things artificially sweet. These chemicals hurt your gut bacteria way too much. So, just give up on artificial sweeteners and choose organic sweet options. 

    3- Excessive Alcohol

    It’s a killer for your digestive system. Totally disrupt your gut culture. So avoid it at all costs and try to nurture good habits in you. Feed yourself with food that fuels you, empowers you and not destroys you silently. 

    4- Minimize Antibiotics When Possible

    At the end of a long day, nothing beats a wholesome dinner. Grilled salmon (or tofu if you’re plant-based) with steamed asparagus and roasted sweet potatoes will do the trick.
