How do you describe the most love-hate duo in MMA history?
Diaz Brothers.
Born and raised in Stockton, California, these two brothers are two of the most recognized MMA fighters in the world. Every fighter knows who they are, because if you don’t know Nick and Nate, you may very well be MMA illiterate.
BJJ black belts with some of the best boxing in the industry; these modern day warriors are best known for their ‘bring the fight, taking no prisoners, and zero tolerance for BS attitude, and they have channeled that spirit on hundreds of occasions for fight fans around the world.
They took no shortcuts to the fame and fortune and always stayed by each other’s side no matter how much the world taunted them. Gradually, the combat sports world would eventually fall in love with these two notorious fellas. Speaking of ‘notorious’, Nate Diaz is the only man to beat Conor McGregor in the octagon (almost twice), while Nick has notable fights with some of the greatest of all time such as Anderson Silva, Georges St. Pierre and Robbie Lawler.
Cocky, brash controversial – in many aspects, honest, these two were doing the McGregor WAY before there ever was a McGregor. But since they are damn vicious inside and outside the Octagon, you are bound to stand and applaud on their consistency – the Diaz brothers keep it real, wherever and whenever.
“People can think what they want, but if you hang out with me, I’m chill, the only time people see me is when I’m on TV fighting, and that’s when I’m at war. That’s not how I am all the time.” Nate Diaz
The older brother, Nicholas Robert Diaz, 33, has fought in lightweight, Welterweight, and Middleweight divisions with a height of 6 ft. and a reach of 76 inches. The younger one, Nathan Donald Diaz, 32, has fought with the same height and same reach as his brother.
Both these fighters didn’t even start fighting till late high school. Nick wanted to fight and he was the motivated brother who wanted to take his younger brother along everywhere. Siblings are supposed to have each other’s backs. And that is what they were and are still good at.
While Nick started his professional career back in 2001 after his 18th birthday, Nate started his career after 3 years later in 2004.

Former Strikeforce Welterweight champion and WEC Welterweight champion, Nick Diaz has won 26 out of 37 fights in his life and his brother Nate, the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 5, has won 25 out of 33.

Klitschko Brothers
When you think boxing and brothers, the first name the pops in your head is Klitschko. Klitschko brothers ruled the heavyweight division of boxing for over a decade. Heck, the whole era was called Klitschko’s era. They are still considered the most dominant boxers in the history of boxers. For over 2 years, all major Heavyweight titles were sitting in the Klitschko family.
Dr. Iron fist, Vitali Klitschko started his professional career in 1996 and his younger brother, Dr. Steel Hammer started his professional boxing career in the same year as well.

These boxing legends are 4 years apart but they have trained together for their entire life. That made them respectable in their families and represented Ukraine everywhere. While they were offered millions to fight each other in a boxing match, their mother made them promise that they will never do that. The 3-time world heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko holds the eight longest reigning heavyweight champion of all time.
If you want to see a bird’s eye view, you’ll find out that both brothers are an absolute success. Elder brother retired with a win and is now the mayor of Kiev, while the younger brother possibly had the most interesting fight of his career, with the Reigning heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua and is the only boxer who was able to put him on the mat. That loss earned Wladimir Klitschko respect from every boxing fan in the world.

While Vitali was awarded ‘The Eternal World Heavyweight Champion’ by WBC, Wladimir is still deciding his stance on further continuing boxing after two losses, one against Tyson Fury and the latest with Anthony Joshua. Vitali won 45 out of 47 fights in his career and Wladimir has won 64 out of 69 fights.
The cool part about them is that an asteroid was discovered in 2007 and it was named Klitschko after these two legends. That’s what I call rocking with your brother.
Brothers are probably the coolest thing in the world. A best friend who has your back with unconditional love – you just can’t ask for anything better.
