Featherweights look to earn top-10 test
Headlining the event is a battle between ranked featherweight contenders, as Steve Garcia takes on David Onama. Garcia heads into the bout riding a superb six-fight win streak, with 14 of his 18 career wins coming by knockout.
The “Mean Machine” has defeated the likes of Chase Hooper, Kyle Nelson and Calvin Kattar as he’s built his six-fight win streak, and he’ll look to make it seven when he takes on Onama, who doesn’t take a step back in his fights, and always delivers exciting action inside the Octagon.
The “Silent Assassin” is riding a four-fight win streak of his own, with wins over Gabriel Santos, Jonathan Pearce, Roberto Romero and Giga Chikadze pushing him into the 145-pound rankings. And with Garcia ranked 12th, and Onama placed one spot below him in 13th, the pair will do battle in a bid to earn themselves a shot against top 10 opposition in early-2026.
Top-10 heavyweights face off in co-main event battle
The co-main event will see Dominican Republic’s Waldo Cortes Acosta look to defend his ranking against dangerous newcomer and former PFL champion Ante Delija.
Cortes Acosta sits sixth in the official heavyweight rankings, and hopes to earn himself a shot at one of the division’s top-five contenders in 2026. But to do that, he’ll first have to defend his ranking against Croatia’s Delija, a former protegé of the great Mirko Cro Cop, and current teammate and training partner of undisputed UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall.
Delija arrived in the UFC with a bang as he demolished longtime contender Marcin Tybura with strikes in the first round. Now the fighter known as “Walking Trouble” will look to topple “Salsa Boy” as he takes on Cortes Acosta in a bout that could push the winner towards a fight with the division’s elite.
Welterweights collide in main card clash
Also set for the main card is a battle between welterweights looking to make their way up the 170-pound ladder, as Jeremiah Wells takes on Themba Gorimbo.
Former CFFC champion Wells has a 12-4-1 record, but his forward momentum has taken a hit in the last couple of years, courtesy of a submission defeat to Carlston Harris, then a split-decision loss to Max Griffin. Now, after a 20-month hiatus, Wells returns to action looking to get back to winning ways.
Standing across from him is Zimbabwe’s Gorimbo, who is also looking to bounce back after a submission loss to Vincente Luque last December at UFC 310. Prior to that defeat, Gorimbo had won four in a row, defeating the likes of Takashi Sato, Ramiz Brahimaj and Niko Price.
With both men looking to right the ship and prove they’re worthy of a step up in competition, it should deliver an exciting battle at 170 pounds.
Women’s bantamweight contenders go head-to-head
Earlier in the night, two highly-ranked women’s bantamweight contenders will do battle in a bid to force themselves to the front of the queue at 135 pounds.
Brazil’s Ketlen Vieira has been there or thereabouts in the division for years, but surprisingly hasn’t had a shot at championship gold yet. She’ll look to change that by defeating fellow Brazilian contender Norma Dumont, a former featherweight contender who has made the drop down to 135 pounds and looks like a real threat in the division.
