Dailidko wasted no time in letting his strikes go as he forced Robinet onto the back foot from the very start of their title clash at Twinsbet Arena in Vilnius.
Dailiko kept the pressure on and eventually overwhelmed Robinet with strikes to force the first-round stoppage as he retained his heavyweight title in style.
The co-main event ended in unfortunate fashion after Lithuania’s Tomas Pakutinskas was disqualified from his heavyweight bout against Georgia’s Shota Betlemidze.
Betlemidze secured a takedown but, in his attempts to escape, Pakutinskas landed illegal strikes to the back of the Georgian’s head that left him unable to continue. The referee decided that the strikes were deliberate, and as a result disqualified Pakutinskas from the bout, handing victory to Betlemidze.
Elsewhere on the card there was a bizarre moment during the bantamweight bout between Deividas Zamba and Robert Masters as an exciting matchup was unfortunately halted at the end of the first round due to technical issues with the cage.
The pair had started the fight in excellent form and produced some cracking action as they both pushed hard for a first-round finish. But, during a takedown attempt late in the round, a section of the canvas lifted up making the surface uneven and unsafe for the fight to continue.
After inspection of the issue between rounds, it was decided to wave off the fight and declare the result a no contest before repairs were made to ensure the rest of the fights could proceed without issue.
