The event, which took place in Tblisi’s New Sports Palace, saw Tuturauli close the show with his title victory as he went all five rounds with the Dutch contender to earn scores of 49-46 across the board as he claimed interim 155-pound gold.
In the co-main event, Lasha Abramishvili claimed the biggest win of his career to date with a buzzer-beating first-round TKO of Khurshed Nazarov, while another Georgian star, Mukhrani Narsavidze, also notched a first-round finish, courtesy of his arm-triangle choke of Gheorghe Gritko.
Georgian fighters went 6-1 on the card, with the night’s other hometown wins coming from Luka Giorgadze, Borena Tsertsvadze, and Badri Focxverashvili.
There was also another victory for Pakistani MMA pioneer Ismail Khan, who improved his career record to 11-1 with a first-round submission of Elmir Jafarov.
