“The Menace” also broke down the rest of the top contenders in the OKTAGON lightweight division as he laid out his case for a title shot with victory over Gabal in Frankfurt.
Frimpong vs Gabal features on the main card of a packed lineup for Frankfurt’s Festhalle, with German MMA legend Daniel Weichel returning from retirement to face France’s Abou Touncara in the lightweight main event.
The event will also see the return of German light heavyweight grappler Frederic Vosgrone, who takes on Brazil’s Fabio Moraes in the co-main event, while lightweight contender Attila Korkmaz will look to bounce back to form against France’s David Crol.
Rising German stars Alina Dalaslan, Hafeni Nafuka and Tamerlan Dulatov are also set for action on the fight card, as is German-born Englishman James Hendin, who faces Belgium’s Ayton Paepe.
