UFC Paris weigh-ins: Middleweights on weight, Keita ruled out of Octagon debut

The fight card is officially set for UFC Fight Night: Imavov vs Borralho in Paris, France, with the fighters taking to the scale at the official weigh-ins ahead of fight night at Accor Arena.

The event is headlined by a clash between middleweight contenders Nassourdine Imavov and Caio Borralho, with both men looking to claim a statement victory to put themselves in the frame for a shot at the newly-crowned middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev.

Both Imavov and Borralho made weight without any issues, with both men making sure to hit championship weight, as they both weighed in at 205 pounds for their main event matchup.

In the co-main event, French lightweight contender Benoit Saint-Denis will take on rising Brazilian star Mauricio Ruffy. “The God of War” came in at 155 pounds, while “The Fighting Nerds” prospect Ruffy came in at 156.

The light heavyweight matchup between light heavyweights Modestas Bukauskas and Paul Craig (both 205 pounds) and featherweights Axel Sola and Rhys McKee (both 170 pounds) was also made official, but there was drama when former two-division OKTAGON MMA champion Losene Keita stepped onto the scale ahead of his planned UFC debut.

Keita tipped the scale at 149 pounds, three pounds over the featherweight limit, for his bout with former Bellator champion Patricio Pitbull. And, due to stated “weight cutting issues” per the UFC, Keita was unable to cut the additional weight and the bout was subsequently removed from the card.

Keita’s weigh-in woes were the only issue on the scale on an otherwise clean session, as the rest of the fighters all made weight successfully.

It means the final lineup for UFC Paris on Saturday night will feature 13 bouts. Check out the full list of official weights below.
