In the main event, Thad Jean turned his potential into a tournament win as he outclassed former Bellator interim welterweight champion Logan Storley after five rounds at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
Jean outstruck Storley over the five-round duration, and showed impressive mat skills as he largely shut down the former wrestling standout en route to a unanimous decision victory. The judges scored it 49-46, 49-46, 48-47.
The action went into the final round in the night’s other World Tournament final, but the judges weren’t required, as 2021 PFL featherweight champion Movlid Khaybulaev finished Jesus Pinedo via fifth-round arm-triangle choke to claim the featherweight tournament title.
Elsewhere on the card, Asael Adjoudj edged Yves Landu on the scorecards in their featherweight matchup, while undefeated middleweight Jordan Newman forced Eslam Abdul Baset to retire after the conclusion of the opening round.
Poland’s two-time PFL Europe lightweight champion Jakub Kaszuba outworked Sergio Cossio, while former Cage Warriors contender Kyle Driscoll edged a split-decision verdict over Husein Kadimagomaev. The scorecards were all over the place, with one judge giving him all three rounds, while another awarding all three rounds to Kadimagomaev.
