Multi-promotion MMA world champion Cris Cyborg’s pursuit of championship belts is far from over, and her latest foray into the world of boxing has seen her add another knockout to her ever-growing list.
Reigning PFL women’s featherweight superfights champion Cyborg has finished 21 of her 28 career MMA victories by KO, and while she awaits her next assignment from the PFL, she’s crossed codes to continue her journey into the world of professional boxing.
Her latest bout came this week in Santa Marta, Colombia, where she stopped Karen Fernandez with body shots for a second-round TKO victory.
That victory moves Cyborg to 3-0 in pro boxing as she continues on her quest to achieve a combat sports first, by becoming the first fighter to hold legitimate world championships in MMA and boxing simultaneously.

“Each time I get in the boxing ring I can feel myself getting more comfortable in the sport of boxing,” she said after her victory.
“It is my goal to be the only person to ever hold MMA and boxing world championships concurrently.”
While Cyborg’s pro boxing experience remains limited, her combat sports resume is undeniable, and with her record of knockouts in MMA, she’s targeting a huge matchup with WBC super welterweight world champion Cecilia Braekhus later this autumn.
If that fight can be made and sanctioned for the WBC belt, it would give Cyborg – who has already captured MMA world titles with UFC, Bellator, PFL, Strikeforce and Invicta FC – a shot at combat sports history.
