Nurmagomedov tipped the scales at a trim 154.9 pounds, with Hughes arriving bang on the lightweight limit of 155 pounds, as their championship bout was rubber-stamped ahead of fight night in Dubai.
The co-main event will see a disparity of 22 pounds, as Tim Johnson outweighed former light heavyweight champion Vadim Nemkov by 264.2 pounds to 242.4, while Ireland’s Nathan Kelly and opponent Akhmed Magomedov both came in at almost identical weights for their featherweight matchup – Magomedov marginally heavier at 145.7 pounds compared to Kelly’s 145.6.
The only fighter to miss weight on the card was Kenny Mokohonoana, who couldn’t quite get down to the 146-pound non-title limit for his featherweight bout with Ibragim Ibragimov, but the rest of the card all came in on weight and ready for their respective matchups.
They will appear on stage later today as they face off for the cameras at the ceremonial weigh-ins, then their attention will turn to fight night itself, as the Coca-Cola Arena prepares to usher in a new era for the PFL on Saturday night.
