Tyson Fury’s ice-cold demeanour during the build-up to his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk has convinced one fighter in particular that “The Gypsy King” is ready to reclaim his throne at the top of boxing’s heavyweight division.
Fury has been laser-focused on business this week in Riyadh, with his press conference quotes making clear exactly what he plans to do when he steps in to rematch Usyk for his WBA, WBC and WBO world heavyweight titles.
Many pundits heading into fight week have leaned towards Usyk getting the job done again in the rematch, but rising British star Hamza Sheeraz is convinced that Fury will turn the tables and emerge victorious on Saturday night.
“I’ve got Fury winning, and I see him dominating,” he said on Queensberry Promotions’ press conference reaction show.
“And I know a lot of people don’t think that, but I think that, the way he’s gone about himself in camp … You’ve just got to look at him. You just got to look and, if you know boxing, you know a different man’s gonna turn up.
“The way he’s going about himself in camp, the way he’s you just gotta look at him. You just gotta look and if you know boxing, you know a different man’s gonna turn up. And yeah. I expect a Fury win.
“It’s just these little, slight changes. Not so much physically, but mentally, that gets you dialed in for fights like this. And like I said, I expect him to dominate.”

While Fury is all set for a big night in Riyadh on Saturday, Sheeraz is preparing for a big night of his own, with the WBC Silver and Commonwealth middleweight champion set to face champion Carlos Adames on Saturday, February 22 for the WBC middleweight title.
The 25-year-old said that the time is right for him to move up to world level and he’s ready to make an impact on the world stage on a huge card of fights in Riyadh.
“It’s an unreal card – I’m a bit upset that I can’t watch the other fights!” he said.
“Listen, I’ve been part of historic nights ever since I’ve been on the Riyadh Season cards. And yeah, a huge thank-you to His Excellency, Turki Alalsheikh for allowing me to do so.
“I’ve always said, ‘Give me the platform, and I’ll deliver.’ And hopefully, come February 22, I’ll put on a barnstormer.”
