The brand new, state-of-the-art INTUIT Dome in Los Angeles will play host to UFC 311, with the UFC announcing a stacked lineup of bouts for the first UFC pay-per-view event of 2025.
The event, which takes place on January 18, will see two title fights at the top of the card. Headlining the event is a rematch for the undisputed UFC lightweight championship as defending champion Islam Makhachev takes on Arman Tsarukyan.
Makhachev has been nothing short of dominant since rising to the top level of the UFC’s 155-pound division. His 13-fight win streak is the longest in UFC lightweight history, and includes wins over such luminaries as Dustin Poirier, Charles Oliveira and Alexander Volkanovski (twice).
He’ll take on Tsarukyan, who has racked up nine wins from his 10 fights since his decision loss to Makhachev on his Octagon debut. He’ll head into his title opportunity riding a four-fight win streak, with victories over Damir Ismagulov, Joaquim Silva, Beneil Dariush and Charles Oliveira.
The co-main event will also feature world championship action, with bantamweight champion of the world Merab Dvalishvili putting his title on the line against undefeated challenger Umar Nurmagomedov.
Dvalishvili captured the title with a superb performance to dethrone Sean O’Malley at UFC 306. That win extended his win streak to 11 in MMA competition, and put a target on his back for the rest of the division.
The first man to take aim at the newly-crowned champ is Nurmagomedov, who has looked unstoppable on his rise to the top contender spot in the 135-pound division. He’s 18-0, and he’s supremely confident that he has the game to topple the Georgian world champion in Los Angeles in January.
The two title fights head a stacked lineup, with 14 confirmed matchups set for the first UFC pay-per-view of the year.
Former light heavyweight champions Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill will collide at 205 pounds, while ranked lightweights Beneil Dariush and Renato Moicano will do battle at 155 pounds.
Former two-division ONE world champion Reinier de Ridder will make a swift turnaround for his second UFC appearance as he takes on perennial crowd-pleaser Kevin Holland. And heavyweight danger men will clash, as Brazil’s Jailton Almeida takes on Moldova’s Serghei Spivac.
