Cage Warriors 177 weigh-ins: Lightweights on weight for 'Unplugged' showcase

One of the rising stars of Cage Warriors’ lightweight division faces a fresh test in the main event of Cage Warriors 177 in Manchester.

The event, which forms the first half of a double-header this weekend at the BEC Arena, will see America’s Chasen Blair go head to head with promotional newcomer Florian Pirtea in a bout that could push the winner one step closer to a possible shot at the Cage Warriors 155-pound title.

Blair has fought all seven of his professional fights under the Cage Warriors banner, and the 5-2 athlete will look to extend his active win streak to three fights with victory over Pirtea, who arrives in Cage Warriors after almost two years away from the cage.

The Romanian arrives with an 8-2 record, including five submission finishes, and he’ll be looking to make a statement on his Cage Warriors debut.

Both Blair and Pirtea made weight without issue during the official weigh-in session at the Radisson Hotel, and they were joined by their fellow fighters, who all successfully hit their contracted weights ahead of fight night in Manchester.
